A program designed to foster deep conceptual understanding in everyday instruction.
Structure of the Program
Your Year at a Glance
180 Days of Purposeful Learning
Thinking Math! is organized into 6 stretches—3 for TK—with each stretch consisting of daily sessions that cover the full school year. Every stretch includes 5 instructional modules and concludes with an assessment module to track progress.
Instructional Session Types
Navigate the Program
Thinking Math! is structured around a module cycle that includes three complementary instructional experiences, each designed to develop different aspects of mathematical proficiency while reinforcing connections between concepts.
TK-K
1st-8th grade
Workshops
Whole-groupsessions, guided by the teacher to build conceptual understanding through hands-on activities.
Students discover mathematical concepts in a meaningful , skills-based ways through activities designed around real-world contexts.
Spaces
Sessions focused on math challenges through independent exploration and peer interaction. Interdisciplinary game-based activities that promote practice, consolidation, creativity, self-learning and self-regulation.
Classroom Life
Designed to integrate mathematics into everyday classroom moments.
It includes three types of resources: Daily Moments, Short Games and Traditional Games.
Number Talks
Sessions focus on the Big Ideas of “Exploring Changing Quantities” and “Taking Wholes Apart, Putting Parts Together”.
Includes extra practice sessions to develop fluency across grade levels.
Challenges
Sessions focus on the Big Ideas of “Reasoning with Data” and “Discovering Shape and Space”. Uses rich, authentic math tasks to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, among any other Mathematical Practice.
Personalized Practice
At the end of the week, students reinforce the concepts learned in Number Talks and Challenges through a self-adaptive platform that personalizes practice.
Provides teachers with real-time information for accurate and differentiated instruction.
Assessment That Drives Learning
Appropriate assessment requires multiple opportunities to gather evidence
Thinking Math! integrates ongoing assessment across all instructional modules, with onededicated assessment module at the end of each stretch.

The Classroom Manager provides detailed, real-time data on student progress, both individually and at the class level. This allows teachers to make informed decisions, adapt instruction to students’ needs, and implement timely interventions. It also supports broader analysis to guide teaching strategies across the school.
